To make a blogger’s page attractive, various themes can be used. One such theme available at themegrade.com is the Gumball Special. It has been designed by Evan Eckard. Evan has had a decade of experience in the field of user interface designing, and his brilliance shines through in the Gumball Special theme. This is the top theme among the seven other themes which have been designed by Evan. The Gumball Special is available in the 1.0 version.

Gumball Special has been tested on version 2.8.4 of the wordpress application by themegrade.com. The theme scores top marks in both the general test and the SEO or Search Engine Optimization test. The Search Engine Optimization level of a theme determines how easy it is for the various search engines like Google to index the webpage. Better SEO levels automatically mean higher page ranks and a more hits on the webpage. The Gumball Special theme is ranked among the top hundred themes and has won a silver medal ranking on the basis of the amazing features it incorporates.

One of the best features of the Gumball Special theme is the fact that it is compliant with both XHTML and CSS. This makes it easy to customize the codes and files of the Gumball Special theme. The Gumball Special scores another point with the fact that it is compatible with the most popular browsers in use today. Gumball Special works well with Internet Explorer 7, with Google Chrome and Firefox as well. Also, designer support is included with the Gumball Special theme. This means that problems with installation and customization can be solved with the help of the designer. Gumball Special is extremely customizable. It has customizable special effects with magazine style. Also included in the special effects section is the options page.

Gumball Special does not score well in some sections. The design seems to have a flaw with image alignment and floating content. This means that overlapping of text and images can take place. Attractiveness of the page can be severely reduced because of this. Also, Gumball Special does not support nested or threaded comments. Feedback or comments from readers will suffer because of this.

Gumball Special blows away the competition with the fact that it is W3C compliant with both XHTML and CSS. This is one of the hardest tests for any theme to pass. Devices like PDA’s will have no trouble with surfing on the webpage using the Gumball Special. The search engines will have less trouble in comparing the webpage with others. The content placed on the top of a webpage is weighted more by search engines. With a content code modification feature, Gumball Special stays with the competition. The only drawbacks with the Gumball Special are with the Heading on the Home Page and the tags on the Post and Page. They are not very suitable for search engines.

The Gumball Special looks very attractive on the preview. It is easy to use as well. Gumball Special is a good choice for all Bloggers.
